Citizens Bank of Florida Set For
Branch Opening In DeLand
OVIEDO – Rick Lee, President and Chief Executive Officer of Citizens Bank of Florida, today announced the Oviedo-based bank would soon be opening in DeLand. The move marks the Bank’s first location in Volusia County, with the branch set to open in the second quarter of 2019.
Gloria Dunmire, Citizens Bank of Florida Vice President, noted the DeLand opening will introduce the Bank’s “unique brand of community banking” to its third county, having been founded in Seminole and subsequently establishing locations in Orange and now, Volusia. The DeLand Branch will be located at 1450 South Woodland Boulevard and represents the sixth branch location of the Bank.
President Lee also said that Mark Figenscher and Hannah Elevester will be the management team directing the bank’s growth in DeLand.
Mark Figenscher will serve as Vice President and Sales Manager in DeLand. He is a graduate of Fedonia State College in New York and began his banking career in Atlanta in 1986. He moved to DeLand in 2001 with his wife, Lynn, and his two children. He has worked diligently in the community and has become well known for his commitment to civic and business development in the area. He is a member of the DeLand Breakfast Rotary Club, the DeLand Chamber of Commerce and the DeLand Elks Lodge.
Ms. Elevester will serve as Vice President and Branch Manager in DeLand. She is a graduate of Winter Park High School and entered the banking industry after graduation. She brings more than three decades of experience to her new position at Citizens Bank of Florida. In addition to her branch management duties, she will work in business development and directing community involvement endeavors.
“We will be working diligently to serve and grow in the DeLand community,” she said. “The traditions of Citizens Bank of Florida are rooted in true community banking, and we will demonstrate those traditions in DeLand as we serve the community.”
Ms. Elevester is a member of the Sanford Rotary and is involved in a number of Chamber of Commerce activities and has also been a Boy Scout volunteer for 12 years.
Citizens Bank of Florida, founded in 1946, was established by its founders to serve the financial needs of area families, business owners and farmers who had been largely ignored by big-banks. “We believe in the time-tested principles of true community banking” Gloria Dunmire explained. “That means we provide relationship-based, service-driven banking to each person who calls us their banking home. We offer a variety of deposit account products, loan products and financial services that will meet the needs of our customers.”
Lee added, “We are proud to serve as active corporate citizens in the communities we serve. It’s likely that there are Citizens Bank of Florida employees in leadership positions in most civic, charitable, educational and economic development organizations across the area. We’ll work to be an active community member in DeLand.”
