Thank you for visiting the virtual home of the Oviedo-Winter Springs Regional Chamber of Commerce! We are the primary Chamber for the Oviedo, Winter Springs, UCF/Research Park, Chuluota and Geneva area. However, we welcome anyone who shares an interest in these communities to become a part of our Chamber.
My commitment and passion for improving the lives of those in our business community comes, in part, from serving as a Senior Legislative Aide in the Florida House of Representatives from 2001 through 2006. I have had the distinct pleasure of working under four (4) diverse members of the legislature: Representatives Frank Attkisson; Jim Kallinger; John Quinones; and most recently, our community’s own, Sandy Adams.
Throughout these years, I heard from many small business owners, as well as large corporations, regarding various issues relating to their ventures. Whether it was a “Mom & Pop” operation, or a Fortune 500 company, most of the concerns that they voiced related to the same issue: regulation and how it impacts their bottom line. It is my hope that through the relationships that I have established with many elected officials and business owners, we can work toward furthering the dialogue and improving the climate in which our business owners operate.
I am truly energized about the great events and opportunities that we have in store for 2007, which commenced with a Membership Drive that generated over 150 new members in a 2 ½ day period! Through increased membership, the Chamber will be able to enhance member benefits and activities, therefore directly improving the state of our business community as a whole.
I believe that with your support, we will make this Chamber a model by which all others will seek to emulate. Please feel free to share your ideas, hopes and dreams for your Chamber, because together we are, “bringing out the best in business.”
